This is the blog of Jessica Marcell, an animation graduate from the University of the West of England, Bristol. I am
working hard on my design portfolio at the moment and hope to be able to show its progression right here.

From November to February third year and masters UWE animation students collaborated with composition masters from the Royal Academy of Music, some of the films and soundtracks produced were really lovely. I wrote the script and did the design for my group.

This design was then animated in after effects by Ng Siew Hoon with a soundtrack by Joseph Edward Davies.

My Orangeman schedules are now firmly fixed on my wall and are currently staring at me. You may be able to see I've made some start, but its a long way to go. I used this colour pink on all my hand in last semester. Until very recently I used to hate pink so it felt a bit like therapy... Sorry I can't concentrate it's still staring. Stop staring.

I'm going to try to follow Tanya's lead and upload to my blog more often. This drawing seems to have a lot of smudgy marks due to the abuse my scanner has undergone the last few months. Please forgive me I love you really, my dear dear scanner.

Just finished preproduction and started the animation on my Graduation film The Orangeman's Suit, due to be finished early June. Its a comedy about everyone's favorite genetically modified orange, the Orangeman.

Here is my sparkly one sheet.

... Not really.
